1. Install hotkeys.
- Hotkeys Homepage
- Freshmeat Hotkeys
- Your favourite Distribution will probably already contain the program (e.g. Debian Hotkeys).

2. Get the keycodes of the special keys.
start xev(1), press one of the keys and search for keycode.
Example:
KeyPress event, serial 22, synthetic NO, window 0x800001,
root 0x60, subw 0x0, time 2997786376, (-5,178), root:(368,824),
state 0x0, keycode 233 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 characters: ""
So the keycode here is 233. I don't know yet what one can do if some keys do not produce a keycode or one larger than 255.

3. Create a Keyboard definition file that fits to your keyboard (man hotkeys).
Hotkeys Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard Definition USB, Hotkeys Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard Definition PS/2 via USB.

4. Modify the configuration file to fit your needs. (e.g. change browser - man hotkeys)
