Problem
Some Debian Opera packages have aRecommends: libXm.so.2
entry that cannot be satisfied. If you want to get rid of the warnings about that (e.g. in dselect) you may try the package I built with equivs. It claims to satisfy the recommends entry.

This package only helps to get rid of the dependency warning. If you like to understand the real problem read this lines I found at the opera website:

libxm.so.2, plugins
Opera 5.05 (and newer) for Linux requires that you have Motif (libXm.so.2) installed on your system if you want Netscape plugin support

If you do not wish to use Netscape plugins, you can force an install, as Motif is only used for Netscape plugins. -
